The figures for Q2 of this year in the Geowox Housing Market report show that Laois is the most expensive in the region at €250,000 for a home.
Offaly and Westmeath are €240,000 and €225,000 respectively.
Across the country, sale prices are up by 9.7% on the same period last year, that's an increase of 28 thousand euro bringing the average cost of a home in Ireland to €318,000.
