HSE Faces Call To Make Someone Directly Responsible For Hospital Waiting Lists

The Irish Patients' Association says the issue has gone under the radar for too long.

We need someone directly responsible for the management of hospital waiting lists.

That’s the view of the Director of the Irish Patients' Association after figures revealed that one in four people in Ireland are waiting for hospital, diagnostic or therapy treatment.

It also emerged last week that over 600 hospital appointments were cancelled in the midlands in April.
