An invite to visit the service was sent to the health service two months.
The HSE say they have reached out to a midlands cancer support service in response to an invitation to visit the group.
It comes after Dóchas, which is based in Tullamore, sent the invite to the Health Service at the beginning of September, in a bid to highlight a funding shortfall.
No response followed, which led to the charity group calling for any sort of engagement from the HSE.
The Health Service say they have now contacted Dóchas to arrange "a suitable date" to visit.
They have apologised that due to leave and other commitments a response to the initial invitation was not issued.
