HSE To Answer Questions On Massive Budget Overspend

The Public Accounts Committee will seek to extract answers to a number of questions today.

The Head of the HSE will be quizzed on the development of a midlands community nursing unit.

The Health Service Executive are being called in front of the Public Accounts Committee today for an examination of its 2022 financial statements. 

PAC Chair and Laois Offaly Sinn Féin TD, Brian Stanley will raise the development of Abbeyleix hospital with HSE Chief Bernard Gloster, following his recent visit there.

Also under the spotlight will be an overspend of between €1.5 and €2bn, issues with the Dental Treatment Purchase Fund and vacant properties in HSE possession around the country.
