Patients with non-life-threatening injuries are encouraged to attend Injury Units.
The HSE is urging people to consider all care options in the Midlands this Easter Bank Holiday to ease pressure on Emergency Departments.
Patients with non-life-threatening injuries are encouraged to attend Injury Units, including the Mullingar Minor Injuries Unit at Charter Medical Private Hospital.
The Mullingar unit treats conditions such as sprains, minor burns, and fractures, and is open Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 19:30 and weekends from 10:00 to 17:30.
The health service says using local Injury Units, GP out-of-hours care, and pharmacies can reduce waiting times for everyone.
MIDOC is an appointment only urgent GP service located in the Laois, Longford, Offaly and Westmeath Areas.
This service is for patients who need urgent medical attention that cannot wait to be seen by their usual GP.
People must call 999 or 112 immediately in cases of serious illness or injury.
