HSE Warning Public Not To Eat Wild Mushrooms

A midlands forager has been hospitalised.

The HSE is warning people not to eat wild mushrooms unless they're very confident about their ability to spot the poisonous kinds. 

It comes after a forager in Longford became seriously ill and was hospitalised recently. 

Foraging for wild ingredients for the table is growing in popularity. 

But Dr Ger Maher, senior medical officer of Public Health at the HSE, says the wrong mushroom could be fatal:
