Local priests are working with Laois GAA to facilitate the sacrament at the stadium, with restrictions still in place on numbers in churches.

They're planning to admit up to 1,400 people - with 340 kids, their parents and one sponsor each.

Currently, numbers in the grounds are limited to 500, so curate Fr. David Vard says they're awaiting a further easing of restrictions.

He thinks they deserve a celebration after such a tough year:
