Hungary Blocks €50bn In EU Aid Funding For Ukraine

Just hours ago, EU leaders voted to begin negotiations for Ukraine to join the bloc.

Hungary has blocked 50 billion euro in EU aid for Ukraine - hours after European leaders voted to start negotiations for the war-torn country to join the bloc.  

They did so despite strong opposition from the Hungarian president Viktor Orban- who says the decision is "senseless" and "irrational".

The conflict in Gaza is expected to feature heavily during leaders' discussions. on the second Day of the EU summit.
