The Irish Congress Of Trade Unions is reminding people to leave the office behind on holidays.

A trade union group is reminding employees to leave the office behind when taking summer holidays.

ICTU says annual leave is meant to give people a proper break, without the pressure of answering work emails.

It says employers and colleagues should also avoid contacting staff who are away, as even a simple message can interrupt someone's time off.
