The groups feel Uisce Éireann acted prematurely on compensation over the Eastern and Midlands Water Supply Project.
The IFA and ICMSA have issued a joint statement following Uisce Éireann sending compensation offer packs to farmers before a final agreement was reached.
The two farming organisations had been in months-long negotiations over the Eastern and Midlands Water Supply Project.
While talks have concluded, the proposed package is still awaiting approval from both bodies’ governing boards.
These meetings are scheduled for early September.
The groups expressed disappointment that Uisce Éireann acted prematurely and called for a deadline extension.
