The IFA says the decision to not remove the chair of Bord Bia is a mistake.
Larry Murrin had been facing calls to resign, after it emerged his company, Dawn Farm Foods, imported a small percentage of beef from Brazil last year.
The board yesterday announced its support for Mr. Murrin - however, the decision wasn't unanimous, with farming organisations, the IFA and the ICMSA, continuing to call for his resignation.
The Agriculture Minister last night confirmed Mr. Murrin has his full confidence and will remain as chair.
