He says the expansion of the work permit scheme is proof.

The expansion of the work permit scheme is evidence that immigration is working for Ireland, according to Minister of State for Eurpoean Affairs, Peter Burke.

The government announced today that 43 more roles have been added to the jobs eligible for employment permits.

While the changes will also see a roadmap for increasing salary thresholds starting from the new year.
