The Midlands West MEP was hosting a delegation from the European Parliament in Kilcormac.
'There has to be an improvement in terms of engagement within the Just Transition.'
That's according to Midlands North West MEP Ciaran Mullooly speaking at the Kilcormac Community Development Centre today as he led a delegation from the European Parliament’s Committee on Regional Development.
The Regional Development Committee MEPs assessed how EU funding can address critical challenges and support sustainable development in rural communities across the Midlands-North West region.
The absorption rate of grant aid so far is at 6%, 2 and a half years into the fund showing the slow rate of allocation of the funds.
