Residents at the facility maintain the standard of care they receive is very good.
The Health Watchdog has raised concerns with the record keeping in a Laois nursing home.
Kilminchy Lodge Nursing Home in Portlaoise was found to be non-compliant in two of the 16 areas inspected by HIQA in May.
Inspectors highlighted some incomplete records in relation to injuries suffered by residents, and say records of specialist treatment and nursing care were not maintained in line with the requirements.
They also noted a non-compliance in relation to care plans for residents.
However, the nursing home says staff have been provided with training to address the issues with records, and similar measures have been put in place to address the care plan non-compliance.
Residents told inspectors the standard of care they received was very good, and they felt at home, safe and comfortable in Kilminchy Lodge.
HIQA also noted a significant improvement in the quality of environmental hygiene at the centre.
The nursing home was found to be compliant in 10 of the areas inspected, substantially compliant in four, and not compliant in two.
