Tullamore road crossing construction awaits arrival of UK materials.
A delay to roadworks in an Offaly town has made crossing the road dangerous for school children.
That's according to Councillor Sean O' Brien, who is calling for an alternative safe crossing facility at Collins Lane in Tullamore while construction on a new pedestrian crossing awaits completion.
He says there was an expectation the works would be finished by the resumption of the school term, but delays in the delivery of parts from the UK have slowed progress.
