There's been a increase in homelessness in the Midlands over the last month.

The Department of Housing's latest report shows 213 adults accessed emergency accommodation last month, up from 190 in June 2025.

Westmeath had the highest amount of people at 81, followed by 65 in Offaly and 50 in Laois.

Nationally, over 2,300 families are now living in emergency accommodation with over the number of children in emergency accommodation going over 5,000 for the first time.
