The three raiders gained entry through the rear of the Golden Island Shopping Centre in Athlone between 3 and 3.15am.
They smashed the front window of Park Jewellers and stole several items which are believed to be worth between 40 and 50 thousand euro.
There's no description of the thieves as they were wearing masks and gloves.
Gardaí are currently checking CCTV.
They are also appealing for anyone who was in the area at time or has CCTV or dashcam footage or any other information to contact them at Athlone Garda Station.
