Ireland A "Nation Of Delinquents" On The Roads Says Former Garda

There was an increase in road deaths of almost 20%.

Ireland has become a nation of "delinquents" and "petty criminals" on the roads, according to a former midlands Garda.

There was a 19% increase in the number of road deaths, bringing the total to 184.

16 of those cases came in the midlands, with the most, seven deaths, in Westmeath.

Driving instructor with Hogan's School of Motoring, Michael Hogan, says, the lowest number of road deaths in the past decade coincided with the Garda Policing numbers at their highest:
