The Enterprise Minister says skills development must be a focus going forward.
This country recorded one of the lowest unemployment rates in the European Union last year, according to the Enterprise Minister.
Peter Burke says, employment rose by more than 61,000 in the first three quarters of 2025, bringing the total number of people at work in the Irish economy to over 2.8 million.
Minister Burke says the figures reflect sustained jobs growth and high workforce participation, but adds the focus must now be on skills development and ensuring strong employment levels translate into better living standards.
