Ireland To Export Electricity To France Within 5-7 Years

Excess energy produced by wind farms would be provided to France.

Ireland will be exporting electricity to France in the next five to seven years.

According to Bord Na Mona  an inter-connector is going through the planning process, which would see us exporting excess energy produced by wind farms.

Commerical Manager and Westmeath's Brendan Kelly says there are a number of projects in the pipeline to provide power to Irish homes this winter:
