The SSE Yellow River Wind Farm in Rhode is made up of 29 turbines.
Ireland's newest onshore wind farm is now fully operational in Offaly.
The SSE Yellow River Wind Farm in Rhode consists of 29 turbines and can now produce 101 mega watts of energy with the potential to power close to 75,000 homes.
The project's completion follows upgrade works by EirGrid at the existing nearby Derryiron Transmission Station which has enabled the wind farm to secure a reliable grid connection.
SSE Renewables says the Yellow River development is part of an investment over €900 million by 2027 in homegrown Irish energy.
