Irish Eurovision Acts Perform Better In Second Half Of Performers, Says Lecturer

The Laois man has been crunching the numbers from the past 20 years.

The head of the Irish Eurovision delegation believes Ireland's entry was good enough to progress to the final.

However, Michael Kealy says he's gutted for all those involved in the song 'That's Rich' which didn't progress from last night's semi-final.

Derry's Brooke Scullion gave a powerful performance, but the song didn't make the list of ten countries to make it to the Grand Final.

Lecturer at Maynooth University and Eurovision fan, Dr. Adrian Kavanagh says, looking back on the last 20 years, performing in the first ten acts hasn't favoured Ireland.
