Irish Rail Accused Of Delaying Tactics Over Third Westmeath Station

Re-opening Killucan has long been talked about at a local and national level.

Irish Rail is being accused of delaying tactics over the introduction of a third station in Westmeath. 

Local cllr Denis Leonard says they failed to respond to a local authority letter about re-opening the station at Killucan, which would serve a community of 10,000. 

Meetings took place between the company and Minister for Transport before Christmas but no progress has been made.

The Labour Party rep says it's a matter of strategic urgency:
