The CEO of Irish Rural Link says the rural economy is on the front line of the current economic climate.
Former Taoiseach Leo Varadkar claims urban Ireland is "paying all the bills" while the rural community is "in receipt of a lot of subsidies and a lot of tax benefits."
He's also suggesting farmers are telling those living in cities they're the ones doing the 'real work' and they're 'the ones feeding the country.'
