New jobs could be on the way to Westmeath after plans for a major expansion of a research and development facility have been given the green light.
Gannon Minerals & Powders Limited want to add two new buildings to its base in Kilbeggan, which it says will require the hiring of qualified scientists.
The structures will include research, development, and manufacturing facilities, office accommodation, and staff rooms.
There's also plans for seven storage silos which will be over 10 metres in height along with 48 car and 5 EV parking spaces.
Permission is being granted subject to 11 conditions.
