The money will be spread out in payments to farmers and agricultural contractors in the Midlands.
Over 2,700 payments totalling to just over €2 million will be paid to farmers and agricultural contractors across the Midlands, as part of the Fuel Income Support Scheme.
It was created by Government, following national protests and blockades over increases in fuel costs earlier this year.
Almost €800,000 is going to over a thousand farmers in Laois.
While over €661,000 s being given to 946 contractors in Offaly, and 731 payments will go to Westmeath with a total amount of €549,000.
Payment is based on the equivalent of five months usage of the total litres of marked gas oil used by an applicant in 2025 multiplied by 20c.
