Justice Minister Urges Caution On Aughinish Alumina Decision

Peter Burke is currently conducting a review of the plant.

The Justice Minister has said Ireland needs to wait on concrete evidence before making a decision on the Aughinish Alumina plant. 

A Department of Enterprise investigation into whether component materials for aluminium are ending up in the Russian military supply chain is expected to be inconclusive. 

More than €100 million worth of Alumina has been exported from the plant to Russia so far this year.

As he meets with fellow EU Justice Ministers in Dublin this morning Minister Jim O'Callaghan says Longford-Westmeath and Enterprise Minister Peter Burke is conducting a review:
