The mother of a man who was beaten to death with a baseball bat says she will never forgive her son’s killer.
30-year-old Robert Broughan, of St Patrick's Park, Rathangan in Co Kildare, was sentenced to life in prison today for the murder of Roy Hopkins on July 31st 2020.
The pair had gone fishing together on the Grand Canal, when Mr. Broughan killed his 34-year-old best friend in an unprovoked attack.
