40 contacts have come from the county according to a CCPC report.
Laois is one of the leading counties when it comes to reports to the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission about fuel price gouging.
The CCPC's latest report shows that in the first week of March it received 40 contacts from the county.
Only Dublin, Cork, Galway, Kildare, Wexford and Meath had more.
There were just seven contacts made to the CCPC from Offaly, and 33 in Westmeath.
96% of the contact were for fuel price gouging with the Commission saying prices controls in competitive markets goes beyond its scope.
