Its after a dog arrived at Cara Rescue Dogs and gave birth to a litter of puppies.

A Laois animal rescue organisation is reminding pet owners about the importance of neutering pets in the run up to Christmas.

Its after a young dog that arrived at Cara Rescue Dogs three weeks ago gave birth to a litter of puppies.

Rayna came into their care about 3 weeks ago filthy, matted and terrified and 6 days ago she gave birth to 4 pups.

That brings the total of pups in foster homes in their care to fifty.
