Ministerial approval is being granted for the appointment of 20 members to the newly formed Local Community Safety Partnership committee in Laois.
This initiative aims to empower communities to play a greater role in setting safety priorities and enhancing quality of life throughout the county.
It's also the start of the Committee’s efforts to promote collaborative, community-focused approaches to safety and wellbeing throughout the county.
The first meeting of the Laois LCSP is set for January 2026.
