Laois Commuter Speaks Out On Feeling Unsafe On Irish Rail

It comes as the Transport Minister wants to see legislation for a security force for public transport.  

The Transport Minister wants to see legislation fast tracked on introducing a security force for public transport.  

This follows a rise in the number of incidents of anti-social behaviour on public transport.  

Irish Rail say the number went up to 292 in the first quarter of last year , from 202 in the same period of 2023.
