A Laois Councillor feels livestreams of local authority meetings would boost public interest in politics.
Independent rep Caroline Dwane Stanley says she and other members of Laois County Council have put forward motions in the past which have been shot down due to cost.
It comes after a dispute over the issue in Offaly between Sinn Fein Councillor Aoife Masterson and the county Cathaoirleach John Leahy.
