Installing public toilet facilties in Laois playgrounds is a matter for the community and not the local authority.
That's the view of Borris In Ossory/Mountmellick Councillor John King who is backing the council's refusal to install public toilets in a Durrow playground.
Laois County Council says it's the community group's responsibility to source the funds and maintain the facilities themselves.
