Laois County Council On Standby To Deal With Localised Flooding

It's after Met Eireann issues a yellow rain warning for the county.

Laois County Council staff are ready to deal with any localised flooding caused by Storm Francis. 

The local authority has crews on standby after Met Eireann issued a yellow rain warning for the county.

Its expect to to 50mm of rain will fall over the next 24 hours. 

The Road Safety Authority (RSA) is asking road users to exercise caution while using the roads over the next few days. Road users should always follow recommended routes and obey signs closing roads to traffic. Where flooding requires road closures, please use diversionary routes and do not drive through floods.
