Laois County Council paid out €2.2m in Vacant Property Refurbishment Grants in the first six months of this year.
The Chief Executive's Report for the local authority shows that a total of 39 of the grants have been paid.
While the council has received 37 new applications in that time period.
Five sites were added to the derelict sites register, but six were removed.
A total of 246 applications have been submitted since Vacant Property Refurbishment Grants was introduced in 2022.
