Laois County Fire and Rescue Service are ranked 13th out of 35 firefighters across the global as part of the World Rescue Challenge 2019.
The Midlands firefighters who went to France for the event took part in the trama and extrication challenge.
The 4 day event had over 71 fire services from around the world competing against each other with a ceremony taking place last night to reveal the results.
