Laois Female Entrepreneurs Encouraged To Avail Of Government Funding

The ACORNS fund supports early-stage female entrepreneurs in rural Ireland.

A Laois woman is encouraging female entrepreneurs to apply for government funding to run their business.

Niamh Maher of Aghaboe Farm Foods is urging other entrepreneurs to avail of the ACORNS fund, which supports early-stage businesses in rural Ireland.

Niamh says: I benefitted from working in a group and hearing how other business owners had resolved issues I was also facing, as well as bringing accountability to my business goals.”

A total of 50 new entrepreneurs will be selected and the free initiative will run over six months from October 2022 to April 2023 with the deadline for applications midnight on September 23, 2022.
