Laois GP Not Surprised That Half Of Diabetes Sufferers Aren't Aware They Have The Disease

It's estimated 226,000 people in Ireland have the condition.

A Laois GP is unsurprised that more than half of people with diabetes are unaware they have the condition. 

Portarlington doctor Sumi Dunne says lots of people don't realise they're displaying symptoms until they are reaching an end phase of the disease.

The International Diabetes Federation estimates over 226,000 people in Ireland have the condition.
