Laois Has Second Highest Rate Of Covid In Ireland

209 cases were detected in the region last week. 

Laois has the second highest incident rate of covid in the country. 

It's has a rate of 87, which is just behind Kilkenny on 94 per 100,000 population for people who had PCR tests.

Offaly and Westmeath also make the top five with rates of 85 and 75 - Longford has the lowest rate at 17.

209 cases were detected in the region last week. 

74 people in the Laois have tested positive for the virus, while there has been 68 in Westmeath and 67 in Offaly.
