A Laois hotel has once again been named one of the best resorts in Ireland and the UK.
Ballyfin Demesne has been ranked second best by the readers of Travel and Leisure Magazine.
It had occupied top spot in last year's vote - with first place going to Ashford Castle in Cong, Co. Mayo this year.
Irish hotels have taken four out of the five top spots in the survey, with Adare Manor in Limerick and Clare's Dromoland Castle also ranked highly.
