The IWA is appealing for a Cost of Disability Payment to match expenses in their pre Budget submission.
We're just trying to survive - that's the message from Laois members of the Irish Wheelchair Association.
The IWA have published their 2026 Pre-Budget Submission which is calling on the Government to effectively address disability costs.
A minimum increase of €78 in weekly Disability Allowance and pay parity for Section 39 workers is a key point in their submission.
It also calls for a Cost of Disability Payment that reflects the current living expenses for people with disabilities.
