John Lawless moved to NZ in 1989.
An online fundraiser has been set up in New Zealand for a Laois man battling cancer.
John Lawless is living in Cambridge since 1989 and was diagnosed with lymphoma three months ago after he was rushed to hospital with a stomach bleed and was put in a drug induced coma.
The Portlaoise man is now undergoing chemo and radiation.
Nearly 2,000 dollars has been raised.
