A Laois man is urging people to cover up and avoid the 'man tan'.

Conor Stapleton from Vicarstown is battling Melanoma skin cancer and has joined the Breakthrough Cancer Research prevention campaign.

Ireland has one of the highest mortality rates for skin cancer in Europe, and it's the fourth most common cancer in men.

23 year old Conor is encouraging farmers, cyclists and anyone else who spends time outside to take simple precautions:
