A motorist in Laois has been caught with tax expired for a year and a half.
Gardaí in Mountrath stopped the vehicle on Tuesday night for erratic driving.
It was also discovered the NCT cert was out of date and the driver was uninsured.
When questioned, the driver attempted to give Gardaí false details until further investigation showed their real identity.
The motorist will be prosecuted for their actions.
