Patients in Laois are travelling up to 150km roundtrip to access neurology services.
The Neurological Alliance of Ireland has launched a new campaign, calling for the establishment of outpatient consultant neurology services at Regional Hospital Portlaoise.
The Patient Deserve Better initiative also seeks to have similar services put in place in Bantry, Letterkenny, Mayo and Wexford, to reduce travel times for patients.
