A priest based in Laois has been officially appointed to a local parish.
Father David Vard has been named as the Parish Priest for the Stradbally/Timahoe/Vicarstown parish.
He had previously worked as an administrator and was on probation as Parish Priest for the past two years.
Fr David Vard says he wants to bring the three parishes together more in the future:
