Laois Senator Backs E-Scooter Reforms And Calls For Policing Boost

Sinn Féin Senator Maria McCormack has welcomed the changes.

A Laois Senator says new restrictions on the use of e-scooters will mean little without stronger enforcement and investment in community policing.

Later this year, e-scooters will be brought under the same regulatory framework as other vehicles, meaning riders will need a licence and the vehicles will require registration, with a new licencing system for adults to come in later in the year.
