Laois Senator Calls For More Dentists In County

A HSE reply to Sinn Fein's Maria McCormack says only one dentist in the county is accepting medical card patients.

We need to improve the overall cost of living to retain dentistry students in Ireland.

That's the view of Laois Senator Maria McCormack after the HSE confirmed to her only one dentist in the county is still accepting new patients under the Medical Card scheme.

The health body is also suggesting card holders can go to another area for treatment.

The Sinn Fein rep says that it's not a solution:
