A Laois soccer club is set to host a 12 hour football marathon this weekend.
Portlaoise AFC is celebrating its 60th anniversary with a marathon tomorrow morning, which gets underway from 9am and lasts until 9pm.
The aim of the community fundraising initiative is to help towards the construction on a new full size astro pitch at Rossleighan Park.
33 teams will be taking part, with each one raising funds for their own squads.
The event takes place from Rossleighlan tomorrow.
